About Me

What is your approach to getting people engaged with H+S?

Getting people engaged in health and safety always requires a multi-faceted approach. I support Senior Leadership in ensuring health + safety is an organisation priority, putting in place the frameworks and processes so they can engage with, and monitor health + safety performance. I support workers in ensuring they have ownership in developing and implementing safety initiatives. And I facilitate the creation of communication avenues between leadership and workers.

What is one of your proudest achievements in your H+S career?

Being part of a health + safety team that from the ground up developed and implemented a health + safety framework across a very large organisation. Working alongside senior leadership and workers, I was involved in helping the organisation increase its health + safety engagement and strengthened good health + safety practices.

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?

I travel around Aotearoa New Zealand in my campervan, sometimes while working remotely or completing short term contracts. It is an amazing lifestyle and an exciting way to see the country.
